Vintage Hats

All hats are ladies' hats unless otherwise noted.

  1. Brown velvet hat. Hat is about 4 inches tall and about 9 ½ inches at its widest Has a pretty topaz and seed pearls pin that is missing a rhinestone in center. Tag reads: “Noreen; 22.” Stamped with the word: “Vicki fashion. Body made in France.”
  2. Gold velvet pill box hat that has a funky shape (kind of like a brain) 5 inches tall by 9 ¾ inches in diameter at top. No tag inside. Has tiny rounded rectangular beading spaced around. [Photo]
  3. Flapper hat – Cream finely weaved hat with velvet ribbon. Asymmetrical. Looks very old but is in great shape. 11 inches by 7 ½ inches. Tag reads: “Luci Puci; Woolf Brothers.” [Photo]
  4. Very old finely weaved lady’s tan sun hat with wide brim. Crown of hat is 9 ½ inches in diameter. Inside, the hat is red velvet lined. The opening for the head is 7 inches. Rim is 3 ½ inches wide measured from underneath. Hat itself is pretty shallow. Has a cream colored gauzy material around outside center that is 3 inches wide. [Photo]
  5. Men’s Navy Hat- Has a very small vintage “Navy” shirt to go with it.
  6. Men’s’ fedora – Dark brown with black ribbon. Ribbon is 1 ¾ inches wide. Hat reads, “Adam” inside. “Fifth Ave. quality. Size 7 3/8.” Rim on outside is approx. 1 ½ inches wide. 5 ¼ inches measured from top to bottom. [Photo]
  7. Gold velvet lady’s hat with feather and very fine netting. Oddly shaped. No tag. Looking down at the hat, the diameter is 7 inches. Very small and sturdy. One rhinestone on the feather stem. [Photo]
  8. Dark brown velvet hat with brown ribbon. Size 22 ½. Has a bright green lining. 2 ½ inches tall at front and 2 inches tall at sides. Looking down at top of hat, the hat is 8 ½ inches front to back and 9 ¾ inches side to side. [Photo]
  9. Brownish tanish orange hat with tiny pearls forming a bow. Shiny satin ribbon around hat is the same color as the hat. Netting is in great shape. Has a thin black strap to keep it on. Stamped: “Genuine velour.” Approx. 4 inches tall and 7 ½ inches wide. [Photo]
  10. Lt beige hat with satin peach pleated ribbon around top of hat with 2 clear rhinestones. Netting all over is in very good shape. Hat is made of felt. Tag reads: “Union Made” Stamped inside with: “Zephyr felt. Henry Pollack. 100 % wool.” [Photo]
  11. Dainty shallow cream colored hat with 5 small bows on top. Netting and bows are the same color and material as hat. Hat is 2 ¼ inches tall. 7 ½ inches in diameter. No tag. [Photo]
  12. Purple velvet hat with large pearl pin surrounded by clear rhinestones. Label reads: “Tatiana of Saks Fifth Ave.” Has a hat pin. Hat is about 4 ¾ inches tall. Looking down on hat, it is 6/1/2 inches x 8 3/4 inches. No size in hat. [Photo]
  13. Medium brown hat with small rhinestone pin. Netting is in very good shape. About 7 ¼ inches in diameter looking down at it. Tag reads: “Medium” and has union label. [Photo]
  14. Funky green, aqua, dark green and golden yellow feather hat. 8 ¼ inches diameter looking down at it. Approx. 5 inches tall. Inside hat is dark green velour. Has only a union label. Opening for head is 6 inches in diameter. [Photo]
  15. Light medium brown velour hat. Wide brimmed with brown ribbon edged by cream ribbon that is a flat bow with long ends. Brim is about 3 ¼ inches to 3 ½ inches wide. Ribbon is just over 1 ½ inches thick. Union label. Something stamped inside that I can’t read.
  16. Pretty black velvet pill box hat with a diamond shaped rhinestone pin. Has a satin black ribbon at bottom of hat. Label reads: “Pierport and Union” No size. About 7 ¼ inches in diameter looking down on top of hat. Approx. 3 ½ inches tall. [Photo]
  17. Strange, funky textured champagne colored satin hat with “knob” on top. Has a scalloped bottom. Inside hat is “Paris. Alfreda Inc.” Hat including knob is 4 ¼ inches tall. [Photo]
  18. Shades of brown feather hat that is shaped like a lamp shade. Feathers look like they may be pheasant. Feathers all over covered with light brown netting. Hat is in great shape. Tag reads: “Ramleigh”. Stamped: “Glenover; Henry Pollack, New York.” 10 ½ inches in diameter looking up inside bottom of hat. [Photo]

  20. Small finely weaved cream straw hat with rust colored velvet ribbon. Looks old but in great shape. Has netting. Approx. 3 inches tall by 8 ½ inches wide looking at it from front. Size 22. Tag reads: “Dajon original; New York.” [Photo]

  24. Light blue fine weave straw hat. Kind of shallow. Small amount of fine light blue netting. Tiny white plastic beads scattered on top. White flowers with light green leaves around edge. Has a hat pin. 8 ¾ inches x 7 1/2inches wide looking down at top of hat. Size 22. No label. [Photo]
  25. Pillbox hat made of brown and red pheasant feathers. Tag reads: “Lovemans, Inc. Mc Henry’s Nashville.” Union label. 4 ¾ inches tall by 8 ½ inches wide. No size. Dark brown inside. Opening for head is 6 ¾ inches in diameter. [Photo]

  27. Bright turquoise hat labeled: “Jack McConnell Boutique” Stamped: “100 % wool. Excello. Geo. W. Bollman & Co.” The hat is covered in netting and it is in great shape. Has lines of clear rhinestones. [Photo]
  28. Medium brown finely weaved plastic pillbox hat with black vinyl straps that crisscross at top and then around bottom. Tag reads: “Cain-Sloan Co.; Gene Kittrell.” No size given and no stamps. [Photo]
  29. Funky off white papery material hat. Has fine black netting in excellent shape. Has rounded triangular pieces in layers. “Pearls” are on the top of the hat. 2 1/3 inches tall not including pin at top. “Lucila Mendes hat Exclusively. Union made.” [Photo]
  30. Light brown hat with dark brown feathers. About 4 inches tall not including feather. Size 22. Short stocky dark brown feather is about 8 inches wide. The hat is about 4 inches tall not including feather. [Photo]
  31. Brown felt and cream finely woven straw pillbox hat. “Mark III. McCurds of Rochester.” “Union made label.” Fine brown netting. Hat is about 4 ½ inches tall and about 8 ½ inches wide. [Photo]
  32. Beautiful satin hat. Champagne colored finely weaved straw. Has a pale peach colored satin flower. Very nice and it goes well with several of my vintage outfits. No tags. 6 ¾ inches by 6 ¾ inches measured inside. [Photo]
  33. Dark green felt hat with peacock feathers and a gold pin. Probably my prettiest hat. “Evelyn Varon Exclusive.” Opening for head is 6 ¼ inches on side. 6 ¾ inches measured front to back. The whole hat is 8 inches by 7 inches wide. [Photo]
  34. Brown velvet hat with netting and rhinestone pin and small thin bow. Size medium. Stamped: “Peachbloom velour.” “Union made” “Merrimac body made of imported fur.” (I personally don’t see any fur.) Covered in dotted netting. Opening for head measures 7 inches from front to back. The whole hat measured front to back is 8 1/3 inches. Whole hat measured side to side is 8 inches. [Photo]
  35. Navy blue pillbox hat with a lot of sequins. “Grace’s Nashville.” Width of the opening of hat is 7 inches by 7 inches. Hat is 3 inches tall at shortest and 4 ½ inches tall at tallest. Whole hat measures 8 inches by 7 ¾ inches. [Photo]
  36. Bright hot pink hat with pin. No labels or stamps. Pin is 2 ¼ inches tall. At its widest, the pin is 1 ½ inches. There is a different lighter shade of pink at the base of the hat from which the pin is attached. Hat is 5 ¼ inches tall. The opening for the head is 7 ½ inches by 6 ¾ inches. [Photo]
  37. Bright purple hat with tiny rhinestone pin and black velvet “flower”. Stamped 100% wool. “Made in the USA” tag. Hat is five inches tall. Has three curving black velvet thin ribbon decorations. Black velvet flower is 5 inches by 5 inches. Hat is 10 ½ inches wide looking at it from the front. Opening for the head is 7 inches by 7 ¼ inches. [Photo]
  38. Shallow coral colored pillbox hat. Kind of plain but is an unusual color. The hat is 3 inches tall. Stamped: “Sandswept; Henry Pollack.” 7 by 7 ½ inches wide. [Photo]
  39. Unusual looking cream colored textured fabric pillbox hat with dark brown silk ribbon around it with brown netting. Lower part of hat is dark brown silk. Just above that is black finely weaved straw. There are unusual shaped things on the hat. Hat is 8 x 8 1/8 inches measuring from the bottom. This one you especially need to see. [Photo]
  40. Unusually shaped emerald green hat with black and small clear rhinestones. Paper tag from store is still attached. Hat reads: “Design by John Lee; New York. 10001; Just for you collection. Made in the U.S.A.; 100% wool.” 2 inches tall. Opening for head is 8 ¼ inches by 7 ¼ inches. This is another hat you have to see. [Photo]
  41. Yellow/gold hat with crocheted netting on the top part of hat. Has small black pom poms hanging off. One of my favorite hats. “Mr. John Sophisticate. NY; Paris.” Stamped “Body made in Italy” "Union made. " The opening for the head is 9 ½ inches by 8 ¾ inches. Hat is about 8 inches tall. Has a wide brim that is 2 inches. Top part of that that is covered in black yarn netting is 5 inches tall. [Photo]
  42. Red pillbox hat with ribbon and satin. Ribbon is 1 ½ inches wide. Stamped: “Glenover; Fawn Felt; Henry Pollack Inc.; New York. 100% wool.” Has 4 small brass colored round things on thin stalks. This is another hat you would have to see. Opening from head is 8 ¼ inches by 8 ½ inches with a diameter of 7 inches. Looking at the hat from the front the base of the hat is 7 ¾ inches. Red hats are hard to come by because of the Red hat society. [Photo]
  43. Pretty black hat with black silk and clear rhinestone pin. “Marlen’s Meriden Comp. Size Medium” Hat is 9 inches deep. Black silk ribbon is 1 7/8 inches wide. The whole hat is 5 ¾ inches tall. Very elegant hat. Goes well with several of my vintage dresses. [Photo]
  44. Light brownish tan bowler hat. Has a ribbed ribbon that is 1 ½ inches wide. It has a bow 4 ¼ inches made from the ribbon material and a feather that is 5 ¼ inches long and 4 ¼ inches wide. Tag reads: “Styled by Coralie” Stamped “Doeskin Felt. 100 % wool. Geo. W. Bollman Co., Inc...” “Made in the U.S. A.” The opening for the head is 10 ½ inches by 10 inches. [Photo]
  45. Pretty navy pillbox hat with netting and velvet navy bow on top. No tag. The whole bow is 3 inches long. Just the main part of bow is 2 ½ inches. Hat is 3 ¾ inches tall and 7 ½ inches wide. Netting is in excellent shape. [Photo]
  46. Black hat with black ribbon made of velvet. Ribbon is 7/8 inches wide. Looking at the hat from the front, the right side of hat is 4 inches tall. The left side is 4 1/8 inches tall.   49. Unusual royal blue pillbox hat with a ¾ inches wide ribbed ribbon and three hexagon shaped things made of the ribbon with fringe hanging from them. Hat is 4 ¼ inches tall.   50. Black velvet with a brain-like texture. Has netting that is in good shape. Netting hangs down way lower than hat. Has a stiff loop on either side that is 1 ¾ inches in size. There is a single large clear rhinestone on front left. Front is 7 inches wide. No tag. Hat is 2 ¼ inches deep. [Photo]

  55. Cream colored felt hat with a funky cream & black fringe thing made of the cream colored felt with the same thing in black behind it. Stamped: “Doeskin; Geo W.   57. Navy pillbox hat with dotted netting that is in good shape. Tag reads: “Peachbloom Velour. Merrimac Body. Made of imported fur. Size 22 ½ inches.” Again, I see no fur. Hat is 4 ¾ inches tall. Opening for head is 7 ½ inches by 7 inches. Has a 1 ¾ inch ribbon and bow that is also navy and ribbed. [Photo]
  58. Another funny shaped shallow black velvet hat. Has tiny seed pearls with white surrounding them. Netting is black. The top of the hat front to back is 6 ¼ inches. The top of the hat that is over forehead is 5 ½ inches. Hat covers ears and ties under neck. Tag reads: “Styled by Janet. Size 22.” Stamped: “Biak. Genuine velour.” [Photo]
  59. Navy hat with navy netting with white dots on the netting. There is no tag. Opening for head is 6 ½ inches by 7 inches. Hat is 3 inches tall. Brim is 7/8 inches wide. Base of hat is 7 ¾ inches wide. Has a red and white stripe toward the top and a white bow. [Photo]
  60. Funky black shiny weaved hat. Paper Has a pin with opaque white stones with clear bow with clear rhinestones that sits over on the right side of the hat. (The left side if you are facing it.) Bow is made of black taffeta and sits on a wide black ribbon that is 1 ½ inches. Tag reads “Dana Marte’ original”. The opening for the head is 8 ½ inches in diameter. Merrimac body. Made of imported fur.” (I see nothing made of fur.) Hat is 4 ¾ inches tall. Opening for the head is 6 ¾ inches in diameter. Hat is 8 inches measuring from side to side.   62. Very unusual brown velvet hat. It looks like the shape of a juicer that you put orange or lemons against to get the juice out. Tag reads: “Emme Boutique. Loveman’s Inc. McHenry’s Hats. Nashville”. The hat is not rigid but soft. Opening for head is 7 inches in diameter. Hat is 2 inches tall. Measuring across the top of the hat is 8 ½ inches. You would have to see this hat. [Photo]
  63. Black felt straight up tall pillbox hat. Feathers of red, green and black go around the hat in the middle. Opening for head is 6 ½ inches in diameter. The height of the hat is 6 inches tall.   64. Light tan widely ribbed mink pillbox hat. “Genuine Mink”. Opening for head is 7 inches in diameter. Width at top of hat looking at it from the front, the hat is 7 ½ inches wide. I am not a big fan of animal fur. Came with other hats. [Photo]
  65. Pale lime green pillbox hat with dotted netting. Hat is 6 ¼ inches wide looking at it from the front. The width of the hat front to back is 7 ¼ inches. Hat is 3 ½ inches tall. Opening for the head is 6 ½ inches by 7 ¼ inches. [Photo]
  66. Yellow chiffon hat with dotted yellow netting. Hat is 3 ½ inches tall. Opening for head is 6 ¾ inches by 7 inches. [Photo]
  67. Black cotton bonnet with black lace. Very deep brim. Black lace covering the back of the hat. At the bottom of the hat at back is 3 ¼ inch long loosely ruffled black material. There is a small silk flower surrounded by green silk leaves and pink ribbon. If bonnet isn’t old, it is a very good reproduction. Looking at the hat from the hat at back, the hat is gathered in the middle. Front of hat is 8 ½ inches wide. Front of hat measured to back of hat is 10 ½ inches deep. Looking at the bonnet from the side, the top is 8 ½ inches deep and the front is 9 inches long. Measuring the hat from front to back from the side, the hat is 8 inches deep. Back of hat measuring from the side and not including the ruffle, the hat is 5 inches tall. [Photo]
  68. Cream finely weaved straw hat with netting. Bottom of back of hat has cream, yellow and tan layers sort of like an artichoke. There is a narrow feather that you can see from the front that extends over the right side as you are looking at the hat. The hat from front to back is 7 ¼ inches and 5 ¾ inches from side to side. Front of hat is 5 ¾ inches across. “Beatrice-Martin New York.” Netting is not in good shape. Measuring from the side, the top hat curves down and is 7 ½ inches long. [Photo]

  74. Navy velvet fairly shallow hat with wide brim. Tag reads: “Doris Designed. The Plymouth; Sixth and Felix. St Joseph, MO.” Has a diagonally ribbed ribbon over the top of the hat. Brim is 1 ½ inches to 2 ¼ inches tall. Diameter of top of hat is 5 ¾ inches. Has a decoration on brim that is made of the ribbed navy ribbon. It is 2 ½ inches tall by 2 inches wide.   75. Very shallow black velvet hat with and irregularly shaped bottom of hat. Has fine black ribbon on bottom and 2 vertical clear rhinestones on front. Hat is 8 ¼ inches by 7 ¼ inches from top. Hat is 1 ½ inches tall. [Photo]

  77. Yellow finely weaved straw bowler with white and yellow trim and yellow netting. Tag reads: “B-Bellini; New York.” Opening for head is 6 ¼ inches by 6 3/4 inches. Measuring from the bottom, front to back, the hat is 11 ¼ inches. 8 ½ inches wide. The bottom brim at front is 2 ¼ inches wide. At back, the brim is 2 1/3 inches wide. [Photo]
  78. Hawaiian type widely woven natural color straw hat with wide brim of 5 inches. Not vintage. Hat has flowers around top of brim that are about 2 ¾ inches tall. The top of hat is 4 ¾ inches deep. Has long pieces of straw sticking out all over at top. The width of the front is 9 ¾ inches wide. Diameter of crown of hat is 6 inches.
  79. Very elegant black velvet fairly shallow pillbox hat with pretty peachy beige satin ribbon alternating with black ribbon. Hat is about 3 inches tall. Ribbons are ¼ inches wide and there are five layers of them. There is a large round clear rhinestone decoration that is 7/8 inches in diameter. Looking down at the top of the hat, it is 7 inches by 7 ½ inches. Has netting but it is not in good shape. No tag. This hat goes very well with the strapless black velvet long vintage dress I have that has a peach satin wide ribbon at top. One of my favorite hats. [Photo]
  80. Very finely woven creamy tan hat with pink tiny roses and tiny white beads. Very delicate looking. Also has a very narrow feather out of top. Tag reads “Butzler Bro. Co.; Baltimore. 22.” Hat is about 1 ½ inches tall. Has just a little bit of netting. Has two loops at either side that are 1 7/8 inches tall. Front of hat measures 6 3/8 inches wide. [Photo]
  81. Funky black velvet hat with netting and different sizes of light brown dots. Brim is about 1 ½ inches tall. Depth of hat is 8 ¼ inches. Opening for head is 7 inches by 6 inches. Looking up inside hat, the width is 7 ½ inches. Stamped: “100 % wool. Glenover; Henry Pollack”. Largest dot is 1 ½ inches in diameter. Smallest is 2/3 inches in diameter. Brim at shortest is about 1 ½ inches tall. Whole hat is 5 inches tall. Probably the coolest funkiest fun hat I have. [Photo]

  86. Cream colored finely woven hat with velvet tan ribbon and an old flower. Very pretty.
  87. Coral colored very finely woven hat with delicate netting. Red velvet bow with 2 things that look like very small pine cones. Very unusual. “Individually fashioned by Fisk; Chicago.”
  88. Interesting shallow glittery coral hat with hatpin and tan feathers. “Loyle & Richardson since 1884; Charleston, WV.” 7 ¼ inches deep from front to back. 3 ¾ inches tall. [Photo]
